Fuji Photo Film USA Inc. announced Monday four new cameras ranging from two new budget-conscious A-series cameras, to a ultracompact model and a compact, 6.1 megapixel unit.
The FinePix A345 (see photo below) and FinePix A350 have 4.1 megapixel (MP) and 5.2 MP CCDs, respectively, and are all but identical in look and size. Both cameras have new image processors for improved color and quicker frame-to-frame shooting, the company said in a prepared statement.
Other features shared by both cameras include xD-Picture Card storage, 3x Fujinon zoom lens, 1.7-inch LCD display, real-image optical viewfinder, USB 1.1 connectivity, and power from two AA batteries. The cameras come with a 16 megabyte xD-Picture Card.
The FinePix A345 will retail for US$249, and the A350 will cost $299. Both cameras will ship in March, the company said.

The ultracompact FinePix Z1 digital camera features a 5.1 MP SuperCCD HR imager and Fujinon 3x optical zoom lens and will ship in June for $449.
Imaging Resource: Other features include image resolutions up to 2592 x 1944 pixels, ISO sensitivities up to 800, built-in flash, 64-zone TTL metering, VGA movie mode, and Natural light, Sports, Portrait, Night scene, or Landscape scene modes.
Available in two colors — black and silver — the FinePix Z1 uses xD-Picture Card storage, and has a 2.5-inch LCD display. The camera is 0.73 inches thick, or thinner than a deck of cards, the company said.
The Z1 has one of Fuji’s fastest power-up times of any camera in its family lineup, going from off to on in 0.6 second. Shutter lag, the time it takes for the camera to fire after depressing the shutter button, has been reduced to 1/100th of a second.

The F10 has a built-in flash, xD-Picture Card storage, and a 2.5-inch LCD display.
The F10 goes from off to ready-to-shoot in a 1.3 seconds. and fires a scant 1/100th second after the auto exposure/auto focus locks.
The Fujifilm FinePix F10 will ship in April and retail for $499.
