Apple rolled out iOS 11 gold master to developers Tuesday following its “Let’s meet at our place” media event. The gold master is the final shipping version, which will be available to the public on September 19th.
iOS 11 includes drag-and-drop between apps, a redesigned Control Center and Notification Center, a Files app for a more Finder-like file management system, a new Dock and enhanced multitasking, a more natural Siri voice, powerful augmented reality support, and more.
You’ll need a 64-bit capable iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to install and run iOS 11. That means an iPhone 5s or newer, an iPad mini 2 or newer, iPad Air, iPad 5th generation, iPad Pro, or 6th generation iPod touch.
Today’s iOS 11 gold master download requires an Apple Developer account. For everyone else, the official release will be a free download on September 19th.
