Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has revealed that Apple’s AI, Apple Intelligence, will be delayed in its release. Initially planned for inclusion in iOS 18 and iPadOS 18, the company will now introduce It in a subsequent update expected in October. Which mean upcoming iPhone 16’s will be launching without Apple Intelligence.
The decision to postpone the launch allows Apple to prioritize the core functionalities of iOS 18 and iPadOS 18, ensuring a stable operating system for users. The company aims to refine the feature set and enhance overall performance by dedicating additional time to Apple Intelligence.
The release plan for Apple Intelligence presents the possibility that the first iPhone 16 models shipped to consumers this year will lack the new AI features and require a software update weeks later.

To facilitate early development and testing, Apple will provide developers with access to Apple Intelligence through the iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 beta versions. This move will enable developers to integrate Apple Intelligence into their applications ahead of the official release. We also discussed earlier how iOS 18.4 will be the real deal for Siri 2.0.
What’s Apple Intelligence, and what will it do? It is expected to offer a range of AI-powered features, including improvements to Siri, enhanced writing tools, and advanced notification management. However, the full scope of the platform will be gradually introduced over the next year. So yeah, overall, iPhone 16 will launch without Apple Intelligence.
