The book gives you the lowdown on some of the best apps in 16 different categories, many of are presented with full color screen shots to help explain the app. The book is presented in the easy-to-read “For Dummies” format, a format at which we think Mr. LeVitus is the master.
Mr. LeVitus told us that the idea from the book stemmed from the fact that lots of readers, friends, and family would ask him for app recommendations. With more than 140,000 apps available on the App Store now, wading through them can be a challenge. The book was the effort of several months of research to find quality apps that stood out from the rest.
The categories include: Business, Education, Entertainment, Finance, Food, Cooking, and Nutrition, Games, Healthcare and Fitness, Music, Photography, Productivity, Social Networking, Reference, Sports, Travel, Navigation, and Weather, and Utilities.
The book is priced at US$16.99 ($11.55 at Amazon), and is available now. Amazon currently lists a Kindle version that is not yet available. No word yet on an iBooks version, either.
