You can make your iTunes Radio stations, no problem.
If you want to go ahead and create your own station, click on “Radio” from the navigation bar at the top of iTunes’ window…
…and then click the plus button.
At that point, iTunes’ll ask you to enter an artist, genre, or song to create your station from.
(Note that if you’ve never used iTunes Radio before at all, you may have to click on the “Start Listening” button and walk through a bit of setup—including entering your Apple ID—to get it going. Then you’ll click the big ol’ “Add Station” button to make your first one.)
That’s great and all, but it’s handy to know that you can right- or Control-click on a song, album, or artist in iTunes and get the option to create a radio station right then and there.
You can also use the arrow that you get when you hover over any item in iTunes to see those same options…
…or if what you’re wanting to use to create a station is the currently playing song, click the arrow that shows up when you hover over the player at the top.
Awesome, right? I think this is much easier than having to type in the name of what I’m looking for, especially since I’m often listening to an artist when I decide I should see what related content iTunes Radio has to offer. And that level of distractibility is why I can’t listen to music while I’m working, folks.
