Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg used the company’s earnings call on Thursday to hit out at Apple, Business Insider reported. He claimed that Apple’s planned privacy protection will hit small firms, stymieing the post-COVID-19 economic recovery “in 2021 and beyond.”
Mark Zuckerberg Blasts Apple Ad Privacy Plans
Criticizing Apple’s plans to limit how advertisers can track iPhone users, Mr. Zuckerberg said:
Actions planned by platform companies like Apple could have a meaningful negative effect on small businesses and economic recovery in 2021 and beyond.
The Facebook CEO said that “personalized advertising is helping small businesses find customers, grow their businesses and create jobs,” and so Apple’s plans will cause them damage.

Zuckerberg is terrified of people finding out he has no clothes. The fact is that online advertising simply no longer works. Nobody pays attention any more. Nobody clicks through any more. The term bubble is being bandied about. He’s frightened that businesses will realize that all the data for targeted ads he’s collecting and selling is in reality effectively valueless.
Oh n/m it did get approved

Personalized advertising doesn’t work well with me, particularly on Facebook. I am subscribed to emails from businesses that I have done business with and continue to do so; clothing, Apple, software. travel, kitchen and cooking stuff.
