Microsoft has officially launched its AI-driven design app, Designer, on iOS and Android. The app, which has been in preview for some time now, gives users a Canva-like experience by allowing them to generate images and designs using simple text prompts.
Designer enables users to create a wide range of content, including stickers, greeting cards, invitations, and collages. It also has tools for creating emojis, clip art, wallpapers, and even personalized avatars.
What sets Designer apart is its AI capabilities. Users can upload and change selfies into different styles or add specific details. Soon, the app will also feature a “replace background” function.
Beyond standalone use, Designer is integrating with other Microsoft products. Copilot Pro subscribers can create images and designs directly within Word and PowerPoint, and Microsoft Photos on Windows 11 is gaining AI-powered photo editing features.
Boosts are automatically used whenever you’re creating or editing images or designs in the Designer app or where Designer is integrated across Microsoft apps. You can upgrade to a Copilot Pro subscription to receive 100 boosts per day.
