A new streaming service bundle launched in the US this week that includes Disney+, HBO Max, and Hulu. The new bundle, which offers both ad-supported and ad-free options, starts at $16.99 per month.
This is the first time Disney+ and HBO Max have been made available to consumers together in a single package. The bundle provides a 53% discount over what you’d pay for all three services individually, with the ad-free version offering a discount of 38.8%.
The bundle is available to sign up for now, and will be accessible on various platforms including iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. However, the companies are only launching the bundle in the US at this time, with no word on expansion to more markets.
The options are:
- Bundle with ads: $16.99/month
- Ad-free bundle: $29.99/month
As a reminder, Apple’s got its own offering in partnership with Sony that offers PS4 and PS5 owners a 3-month free trial of Apple TV+.
Streaming services are increasingly turning to bundles in an attempt to combat subscriber churn. With the average US consumer spending dropping from $90 to $64 per month, according to the research firm Parks Associates, it’s easy for a person to drop a single service if they’re not using it much.
