iOS 18 introduces all sorts of revolutionary features to users. From Apple Intelligence to new Home Screen design options, it feels like we’re in for the biggest iOS update in years.
But among all the headliners, we’re still discovering subtle changes that are great news for users of specific iOS apps. One such addition is the new Price Drop feature coming to Apple Books with iOS 18.
As the name suggests, this new option will notify you when your favorite titles drop in price. If you’re not willing to pay the full price for a certain book, you don’t have to scout for discounts manually. Instead, the app will let you know instantly.
The Price Drop feature monitors your “Want to Read” list, allowing it to track which titles you’re interested in. When a title from your list becomes available at a discounted price, you’ll be notified.
How to turn on Price Drop notifications in Apple Books
To turn on the Price Drop notifications in Apple Books, do the following:
- Open Apple Books and tap your profile picture in the top-right corner.
- Open the Notifications menu.
- Toggle the Price Drop option on.
While enabling additional notifications might not sound appealing, especially considering we already get so many, having a non-intrusive, potentially money-saving notification definitely has its perks.
iOS 18 is now available as a public beta, with the full version coming this fall.
