Apple’s video creation app Clips got a major update on Wednesday. The user interface has been redesigned and it supports HDR recording with iPhone 12.
Clips 3.0 Update
On the iPad, Clips supports landscape mode, Apple Pencil’s Scribble feature with iPadOS 14, and support for a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard. On all iPhone 12 models customers can record and share content in HDR thanks to the camera app’s support for Dolby Vision. Recording in multiple aspect ratios is also included in Clips 3.0.
With Clips for iPhone and iPad, users can create personal video messages, slideshows, school projects, and mini-movies with amazing features like Live Titles, which automatically generates animated captions from a user’s voice, and 360-degree immersive Selfie Scenes with the TrueDepth camera on iPhone. Clips lets users add personality to their videos with dozens of filters, animated stickers, and full-screen animated posters. The app includes more than 100 soundtracks that automatically adjust to match the length of videos.
You can find Clips 3.0 on the App Store here.
I’m not seeing it. App Store still showing older one.
Yeah me neither. Weird.
I keep hoping that Clips will become something useful. I keep trying it every major upgrade. So far it hasn’t bee. But here’s hoping the third time’s a charm.
