  • Except the Lightning connector is a connector. It was never designed to be a mount. I think you’re asking for trouble using it this way. Worn connectors, cracked connectors, bent connectors, all could disable your phone in expensive ways, possibly permanently.

    True, Geoduck, true… But it’s so convenient and well-made I’m willing to take that chance. It’s easily the smallest tripod I’ve found; that it’s stable as a rock and includes a can opener is icing on the cake.
