Smile’s PDFpen and PDFpen Pro just got updates to version 8.2 that add support for macOS Sierra’s tabbed window feature. The update also adds iCloud file sync support for users for all users—a feature that previously was available only if you purchased PDFpen through Apple’s Mac App Store.
While tabbed windows are great, the change most users will find even more useful is iCloud support for app versions bought directly from Smile. They can now sync PDFpen files between their Macs and iOS devices, and the app now shows what you’re storing on your iCloud Drive.
PDFpen and PDFpen Pro let you edit and create PDF documents, add signatures, redact document content, scan and OCR pages, and more. The Pro version adds support for creating fillable PDF forms, converting websites to PDF, adding and deleting file annotations and attachments, exporting to Excel and Powerpoint, and adding or editing document permissions.
PDFpen 8.2 is priced at US$74.95, and PDFpen Pro 8.2 costs $124.95. The updates are free for version 8 users and require Mac OS X 10.10 or higher, and tabbed windows requires macOS Sierra.
