Putting a dynamic wallpaper on your Mac is cool. The slight movements of a dynamic wallpaper make your Home Screen a lively environment, which can be aesthetically pleasing.
But how about using a web page as your wallpaper?
The concept may sound ridiculous at first, but if you think about it, there are numerous web pages that would serve as awesome wallpapers. Some examples are weather forecast websites, Apple Maps, wallpaper directories, etc.
If you like that idea, there’s an app called Plash that does just that. This app allows you to take any web page from the internet and turn it into your wallpaper. Just paste the URL inside the app, and it will automatically convert that web page into a wallpaper for your Mac.
Obviously, it only works well with certain types of web pages. You’re probably not going to use The Mac Observer homepage as your wallpaper (although we’d highly appreciate it), but if you’d like to have a live weather forecast on your screen at all times, this app is for you.

The app also allows for some control over how the wallpapers are presented. For example, you can rotate multiple websites, launch it on login, choose which display you want to show a wallpaper on, adjust the opacity, and more.
You can download Plash for free from the App Store.
