‘Finch’, Starring Tom Hanks, Set to Debut on Apple TV+ in November
Apple won the rights to Finch back in May. Mr. Hanks stars as the title character, a robotics engineer who survived a catastrophic solar event. With the world a wasteland, he builds an odd family with a robot and a dog, Goodyear, but worries who will care for the animal once he is gone. He builds a robot to do so, which names itself Jeff. They all take on a perilous journey into a desolate American West, and Finch strives to show Jeff, the joy and wonder of being alive as they face both challenges and humor, as it’s as difficult for Finch to goad Jeff and Goodyear to get along as it is for him to manage the dangers of the new world.
