Weive got just the thing: How would you like to be the proud owner of rare Apple I computer? There are only about 30 in circulation and they usually sell for more than $15,000.

Wired News is reporting that a vintage Apple I will go on the auction block this weekend at the Vintage Computer Festival Web site. Hereis the details from the article titled For Sale: A Piece of Mac History:

The Apple I up for auction includes a motherboard, a keyboard, a power supply and a wooden case. It will also come with copies of original materials, including the manual and software.

“Itis very nice,” said Sellam Ismail, who is brokering the auction. “Itis probably one of the nicest examples of an Apple I Iive ever seen.”

But Ismail said little is known about the provenance of the machine. As with many of the Apple Iis auctioned off previously, no sales records exist for the computer. However, Ismail said indications are that it may have been among the 50 machines sold to Paul Terrellis Byte Shop in Mountain View, California, which was Appleis first commercial order.
