Longtime Apple fans will want to make sure they’re in Georgia this April for the first ever Southeast Vintage Computer Festival, announced Monday. As part of a larger event covering vintage computers from many different manufacturers, Apple products will receive a dedicated 6,000 square-feet of display space in a special “Apple Pop-Up Museum.”

The display will be divided into rooms focusing on key eras from Apple’s history. These rooms include:

Pre-Apple Room
Apple I Room
Apple ][ Room
Turmoil Years Room
No Founders Left Room
Jobs’ Comeback Room
Ive’s Colors Room
iPod / iPhone / iPad Room
The Timeline Lounge
Apple’s Present to the Future Room

Other things to look forward to at the event include dozens of exhibitors from all over the world, live demonstrations of rare and vintage equipment, a vintage game station, two “retrocomputing” classes and one “introduction to soldering” class, and guest speakers and special presentations from luminaries in the vintage computing community.

The Festival takes place Saturday and Sunday, April 20–21, 2013 in Roswell, Georgia. Tickets are US$10 for one day and $15 for both days. Children aged 17 and younger are admitted free when accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Those interested should check the festival’s website for more information as the event nears.

The Vintage Computer Festival was founded in 1997. This year’s event in Georgia will be the first one in the southeastern United States.
