About CrashPlan alternatives.
If you are an Amazon Prime user you can upgrade to unlimited Amazon Drive storage for 70 € (in Europe). I did that yesterday and started using ARQ to do my first backups. Great software with at least as much functions as CrashPlan. But it feels much more responsive. Doing a local backup with it to my NAS as I write.
This seems the cheapest way (4 computers and a NAS to backup with many TB) for me. And the costs do not depend on the volume to backup.
Is that still offered in Europe? Here in the USA they dropped support for Unlimited and now it’s tiered at $60/TB/year.
Yes, 3 months for free than unlimited for 70€.
At least here in Germany.
