Apple and Thailandis cell carrier Ais (Advanced Info Service) are apparently working on a deal to bring the iPhone to Thai customers. The negotiations also involve Aisis parent company Singtel, according to Telecompaper.
A final agreement has not yet been reached, and it looks like profit sharing is a sticking point just as it has been in other countries. In Thailand, however, that may be a bigger issue since Ais claims its current airtime pricing schemes would make it impossible to share revenue with Apple.
Neither company has commented publicly on the negotiations.
