Mariner Software announced the immediate availability of MacJournal 5 on Tuesday. The new version, redesigned and rebuilt for Leopard, adds drag and drop of media files and Web pages, Smart Journals, the ability to host a blog or vlog and more.

- Tag and assign each entry a rating, status, and priority then sort any journal by those values.
- Resize images to match your layout.
- Host your blogis photos on the Picasa photo-sharing site.
- Use MacJournalis new document architecture to save journals and entries in separate files.
In addition, MJ5 exploits Leopardis 256-bit encryption for journal security and features .Mac syncing.
MacJournal 5.0.2 is a Universal Application, requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later and is priced at US$34.95 (download version). The upgrade from MacJournal 3 or 4 is priced at US$19.95.
