TrailRunner was updated to version 1.4 on Thursday. The new version allows the user to view a detailed graph of recorded workout data and offers tools to analyze the speed, heart rate, cadence, elevation and ascent at any location or any selected range.
In addition, its is possible to catagorize and journal personal workouts based on the type of activity, such as walking, running, biking or swimming and review previous workouts.

TrailRunner is route planning software for all kinds of long distance sports. It can calculate a route for a desired distance and export directions to an iPod. For biking, one can import GPS readings and view the elevation profile. Other features include exercise planning, import data form the Nike + iPod sport kit, publish a Weblog of progress, and set timed check points for a running path.
TrailRunner 1.4 requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later. TrailRunner was written by a long distance sports enthusiast and is free. A suggested donation is ?21.00.
