On the Apple Watch section of Apple’s website, some new videos have appeared, showing actual hands-on usage of some of the features of the forthcoming watch.
There are three videos on the guided tours page now, with “Coming Soon” spots for seven more. Right now you can watch short videos on sending and receiving Messages, how to customize watch faces, and using Digital Touch to communicate with others. Each video has a slightly different watch shown on an actual arm, and shows the step-by-step process of each type of interaction.
Those videos marked “Coming Soon” are: Phone Calls, Siri, Maps, Music, Apple Pay, Activity, and Workout. Presumably these videos will continue to roll out in the countdown to the release of the Apple Watch on April 24.
Seeing the actual process of replying to a message and the Digital Touch feature is interesting as it also shows some less-publicized features like the screen only lighting up when it’s raised, and how the side button can be used as opposed to the crown.
