Elgato announced the immediate availability of its new Eve Energy smart outlet on Tuesday with support for Apple's HomeKit smarthome platform. The outlet tracks energy usage and can be remotely turned on or off through Siri voice commands.

The Eve Energy connects to your iPhone through Bluetooth so you can use it even if you aren't set up for HomeKit. If you are a HomeKit user, however, the device can be remotely checked and controlled using your Apple TV as a bridge.
The smart outlet logs the power usage of the device plugged into it and feeds that information to the Eve iPhone app where it's displayed in a graph, just like data from the Eve Room and Eve Weather sensors.
Eve Energy is priced at US$49.95 and requires an iPhone, iPad 3 or newer, or iPod touch running iOS 9.1 or later. Remote HomeKit support requires a third or fourth generation Apple TV running tvOS 7.0 or later.
