Mactech Magazine announced this week that it was expanding its titular MacTech Conference to encompass 15 different events throughout the year in 2012. The events take place starting February 16th, 2012, in Phoenix, AZ and continue throughout the U.S. to December 5th.

The events are taking place in three formats, including the one-day MacTech Boot Camp and MacTech InDepth seminars, and the three day MacTech Conference being held October 17th-19th in Los Angeles.
MacTech Boot Camp was, “specifically designed for those techs and consultants supporting home users, small office/home office (SOHO), and small-to-medium sized businesses (SMB).” The InDepth seminar focuses on a single topic for the full day. The MacTech Conference is a three day event for, “IT Pros, Enterprise, and programmers/developers.”
Sessions for the events are presented by a large panel of Mac professionals.
The 2012 schedule 15 events marks a major expansion for the company—the first event was held in 2010, and there were seven events in 2011—and it reflects how much the OS X and iOS platforms have both grown in recent years. MacTech publisher Neil Ticktin told The Mac Observer that there will be more than 150 sessions presented through the events over the course of a year.
