John Uppendahl is the vice president of communications for Parallels, the company that's famous for its virtual machine software for the Mac—called Parallels Desktop. I chat with John about what this product does, its evolution, the different uses by customers, how it has enabled five million customers to have the Mac they want yet launch and use Windows apps completely transparently. Or even multiple different copies of OS X. John Uppendahl also talks about the ever growing solutions that a virtual machine system provides, including the brilliant Parallels Access iPad app that "applifies," with native touch gestures, an interface to a Mac running apps in another operating system. You'll enjoy the infections enthusiasm of this interview.
